James Beveridge age 21 Miner Rosie Street Buckhaven. Petitioner number 35 of the Lodge "Randolph" Buckhaven, Fifeshire, holding of the Grand Lodge of Scotland No.776.

Proposed in the Lodge on 4th May 1891. Initiated and Passed on the 11th May 1891, Raised on 25th May 1891 and registered in Grand Lodge of Scotland on 27th May 1891. Proposer Brother George Williamson Lodge Secretary and Seconder Brother Ebenezer Horn.

Initiation fee £1.17.6 paid to Brother Thomas Seath Treasurer.

Honoured in Lodge Randolph No.776 for having served 33years as Treasurer made a Life Member. Served a total of 40 years as Lodge Treasurer 1893 - 1933. Recieved rank of Honourary Grand Bible Bearer from Grand Lodge of Scotland 12th January 1944.

The Lodge met in the Lodge Rooms on the above date Brother Morris P.M. in the chair. The minutes of the meetings held during the month of April were read and each minute approved as read. On the motion of Brother Morris it was agreed that Brother Deas recieve the proceeds of the lectures recently delivered by Brother Young as renumeration for use of Lodge Rooms, gas, etc.

The following were proposed and accepted as suitable candidates: Hugh Horn Miner Buckhaven, and James Beveridge Jnr Miner Buckhaven.
Mr F Gehlberg was then entered, passed and raised. This closed the business for the evening.

May 11th 1891

A meeting of this Lodge was held this evening the R.W.M. presiding. On the Lodge being opened the following were accepted as suitable candidates:

Messr Robert Pow, Engineer, Crammond.
James Smith, Mariner, Arbroath.
Carl A. Nilsson, Master Mariner, Halrustad.
William McLean, Miner, Buckhaven.
David Rodger, Miner, Buckhaven.

Thereafter Messr's Hugh Horn, James Beveridge and Carl A. Nilsson were entered and passed. It was agreed to hold a special meeting on the 12th inst Brothers Pow, Smith and Nilsson to the Sublime Degree.

The Lodge was then closed in due form.

Minute of meeting dated 25th May 1891:

25th May 1891

The R.W.M. presided at a meeting held in the Lodge rooms this evening. Messr Webster, Kinnear and McLean who had been regularly accepted were entered Apprentice Masons.
It was agreed that the ordinary monthly meeting be postponed until Monday 8th June.

The following motion was proposed by Brother Campbell and seconded by Brother Seath "That a committee be appointed in Methil to arrange for candidates there; said committee to consist of Brothers Morris, Smith, Lindsay, Cairns and Webster." The Lodge was then opened in the F.C. Degree and thereafter in the M.M. Degree and Brothers Horn and Beveridge were raised to the sublime degree. The Lodge was then closed.
