Lodge Randolph No.776 29th January 2015

This evening Lodge Randolph No.776 held a special meeting to pass a Brother to the Second or Fellow Craft Degree.

The Degree was conferred by Brethren who are all either serving or retired Fire Fighters with the candidate being a serving Fire Fighter as is the RWM of Lodge Randolph Bro. Bill Foster.

A Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross headed by Worshipful Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Gordon Michie was warmly welcomed into the Lodge.

The assembled Brethren witnessed a nervous Entered Apprentice answer his test question in an excellent manner before retiring to be prepared to take his second step in Freemasonry.

On his return into the Lodge he was conducted through the Ceremony of the Fellow Craft Degree, worked by a team of serving and retired Fire Fighters in an excellent manner.

There were a couple of additions with the fireman's prayer and the use of the fire-bell donated to the Lodge by Lodge Salfire No.1505 from the province of Glasgow, that added greatly to the decorum of the Degree.

All the brethren in the team served within Fife with the exception of one interloper who served with Lothian and Borders

The collection taken at the meeting raised £256.00 which is to be donated to the Grand Lodge of Scotland chosen charity Prostate Scotland.
