Lodge Randolph Brethren take the Cold Water Challenge
Brethren who are members of the Fife Masonic News Facebook group have recently being participating in what is known as the Cold Water Bucket Challenge, in order to raise funds for charitable causes. Some of our own Brethren of Lodge Randolph No.776 were happy to take up the challenge and make their contributions to charity.
The rules of the challenge are and this is a quote from Bro. Finlay Ross PM Lodge Wemyss No.777. "My take on the rules are, you nominate two charities and you donate to them. You then nominate two people, if for any reason the person who you nominate does not accept the challenge they have to pay the nominated sum to you so that you can give to your charity. The Brucie bonus is a third person to nominate for the second bucket".
At the present time the sum raised for charities is approaching £2,500.00 with various organisations benefiting from the efforts of Brethren from both within the Province of Fife and Kinross and from other Provinces. The following charities have been nominated thus far:
Prostate Scotland, SGS, Erskine Alzheimer's, Breast Cancer, Cancer Research, Guide Dogs, Poppy Scotland, Heart Foundation, Collette, Shiners, Autism Dogs Trust, PDSA, Help for Heroes, Chas, British heart Foundation, McMillan, Jayden, Voice for Veteran, Parkinson, Bone Cancer Research, Stroke Association, Samaritans, Life Boat, SPAA, Teenage Cancer Trust, Pete Mark Ferns Soldiers off streets, Scotties little Soldiers, HCPT Pilgrim Trust, Rachel House, Maggie's, Jenny Gray, Click Sargent, MS, SANDS, Strathallan.
